Undergrounds Coffee House and Roastery is this week’s featured business for #SupportYourSoil! This female owned business now has two locations, with the newest recently opening at the Seneca One Tower.
In the wake of a shutdown funeral home, Undergrounds Coffee House & Roastery was born. In 2016, three partners came together to honor the death of what the building was and celebrate the life of their new cafe. Undergrounds features a full menu of breakfast and lunch sandwiches as well as salads that are named for deceased people connected to Buffalo or the coffee industry. The drink menu is full of traditional coffee house favorites as well as a few specialties. They offer a variety of fresh in-house roasted beans as well as self-serve cream at the Cream-A-Tion station. A wall of the cafe is covered with shelves of custom made mugs that belong to Roastery Club Members. They ask: If you could have coffee with one dead person who would it be? Over 170 people have answered that question and you can see who they chose when you stop in.
